First the "Tea Experience" with our Planter in Residence. Follow the trail of the planters of old Ceylon, as they trekked through the dense jungle looking for the best slopes on which to plant tea. Then on to watch the tea pluckers pick two leaves and a bud with deft hands. A tea factory visit is a must to see the care with which the leaves are dried and processed for the “single origin tea” that Dilmah is famed for. Follow the scratch marks of the Gallus Lafayetii the endemic jungle fowl on a bird watching expedition. Kayaking, rafting on the white water or boating on the lake. A dawn expedition to climb the famed “ Adams Peak ” mountain nearby. Golfing, biking and trekking are some of the exhilarating sports on offer. Trek through some of the most beautiful and scenic country in the island. Tea Trails provides many activities for the adventurous.

“We came here as a group of 8 from Dubai (one ex Dubai–an, now living in Malaysia) on our annual golfing/shopping/sightseeing trip.  I was very excited about coming here, having seen the website although some of the ladies were skeptical.  However, everybody has rated this the best destination of all the trips we have ever done and we are already planning a return trip with our families (be warned Tharinda!) – more than exceeded my expectations!   We have had a fantastic three nights here waited on hand and foot by Tharinda, Janaka, Sameera and Waruna.  The service was exceptional, the bungalow super, the views stunning and the food …. well, what can I say, Janak was outstanding and we’re all going to detox next week after the delicious food and wine!  I will definitely recommend this place (although, by the same token, I would be reluctant to let every one know about this ‘paradise’).  Thank you also to Andrew who was so informative about the tea plantations and the history of the area – thoroughly enjoyable tour!” from our Guestbook
